Seriously, what is this bullshit?
We work in our dead-end jobs, slaving away just so our executive bosses can blow the company surplus on wooing politicians so they in turn can make more money? Does that sound fucked up to anyone else? Wouldn't that money be better spent on health-care benefits, better wages, and better working conditions for your workers? Maybe if there was a law to prevent corporate contributions to politics, this would stop. OH WAIT, there is one, it's just got a loophole no one wants to fix because it would risk their "buddy-buddy" perks. Funny, that. Also funny that no media coverage is allowed inside these big lobbyist orgies so as not to disgust the audience too much. We can't have that, now can we?
For all you "Obama is the messiah" people out there: last time I looked, he's the Democratic nominee, and this is the Democratic National Convention. This is why I'm an independent; the whole system is fucked, just like we as workers are continually fucked over by the companies we work for.
